So our family found a great park for toddlers just around the corner from our house and we’ve enjoyed spending several weekends there with Taylor and Joshua. Taylor loves the slides and the swings. Here are a few pictures from one of our outings.

So it’s that time of year again- Broncos time! And of course the Hunts are ready to root their favorite football team all the way to the Superbowl. :) Here’s a picture of all of us (even River!) decked out in our Broncos attire. Go BRONCOS!

Wow so our little chucky monkey has really been growing these last few weeks. He’s great during tummy time and even tried out his bumbo chair for the first time and was great with head control- not to mention I think he had fun. He’s more and more interactive and full of smiles which makes it all the more fun for us! His favorite nick name so far is “The Dude” – but you gotta say it with emphasis: “The Duuuuuuuuuude!” It elicits an ear to ear grin every time. :) Here are a few pictures of our little man.

Over Labor Day Weekend the Hunt family drove about three hours south to Goshen, VA for a retreat with Young Life Committee members and leaders all across the northern Virginia region. The retreat was held at one of the Young Life camps on the east coast – Rockbridge Camp. Check it out here.
Jeff has been chair of the committee for South Arlington Young Life for a few years and so the Hunt family was excited about the opportunity to meet a bunch of other folks involved in Young Life from our area and get inspired by the things God is doing through Young Life to change the lives of teenagers. We had a great time hanging with committee folks, Taylor went swimming, Jeff and I got blobbed (if you don’t know what this is- just wait- Jeff video taped the whole thing and is going to be making a video of it to post!) and all while learning more about who Jesus is and what he is calling us to do through Young Life. Check out the mission of Young Life here.

This last month both kids had check-ups at the doctor’s office. Joshua was in for his two month check-up and we are VERY happy to report that our little guy is growing quick! At two months he was already 13 pounds and 3 ounces – in the 90th percentile for his weight! He is as healthy as can be and is developing beautifully. Taylor was in on September 1st for her 18 month check-up. It’s hard for us to believe that she is already a year and a half. Where has the time gone?! She is making steady progress on her weight. She’s 17 pounds 5 ounces. Still well below the actual growth curve- even for her adjusted age- but she continues to gain and that’s what is most important. We are taking bets as to how soon it will be before Joshua weighs more than Taylor. At the rate he has been gaining weight we are both confident that it won’t be long before Joshua is the “big” brother. :) Both kids got shots. But I’m happy to report survived them! :) We feel incredibly blessed to have two happy healthy little kids and are so grateful everyday for their lives. God is good!
Below are a few pictures of Joshua taken at 2 1/2 months and Taylor working on her very first art project. She loved drawing with her crayons- and looks to be a budding young artist! :)

So there’s this great park just around the corner from our house and we love to get out there and let the kids play. Well mostly Taylor plays and Joshua lays- but none the less – it’s a lot of fun to get out of the house and experience the great outdoors. Apart from the humidity – it makes for a perfect afternoon activity. Here are a few pictures of my little munchkins enjoying the park!

Recently we had our good friends- and Taylor’s Godparents – over for a BBQ. Taylor had a great time showing off her kiddie pool and playing “lets see how much water I can pour out of the pool using my bucket.” :) Rebekah and Tim are great friends and we are so grateful for their friendship. Here are a few photos.

Taylor and Joshua got the opportunity to meet their Great Aunt True last month while she was out visiting her son, Mark, and grand daughter, Aubrey, in DC. Taylor loved playing with her Aunt True and cousin Aubrey and Joshua feel right to sleep in Aunt True’s arms. We all had such a fun time hanging out together. Thanks for the visit!
